The Spanish Department TAs invite you to celebrate the end of the semester by dancing to folkloric dances from their countries: Argentina, Spain and Puerto Rico.
Acknowledging that dance is also a form of communication and learning, traditional dances like Bomba, Chacarera and Pasodoble narrate stories of black pride and liberation, the union of bodies and customs of a nation and communion of different generations and celebrations.
The event will begin with a short introduction in Spanish to each dance. There will be light food and drink.
