The Spanish Department prepares an object theater to celebrate ‘El Día de Lxs Muertxs’

Last Thursday, November 4, the Spanish Department organized a cultural event to celebrate ‘El Día de lxs Muertxs’. The event was held at Griffin 5, which was adorned with motifs from this special Mexican tradition such as an altar, sugar skulls, candles, etc. First, the TAs, dressed up as Catrinas, performed their own theater, using only abstract objects that were used to represent characters and places. Then, they guided the students so that they could create their own theaters using other abstract objects that had previously been selected by the TAs. The event was a hit!
